Emma’s Country Kitchen

My first time at Emma’s Country Kitchen. I saw them on the Food Network TV show Donut Showdown, and they won their episode, “Pub Grub”.

They don’t take reservations. We had a party of 5 and had to wait about 30 minutes.

I had the Banoffee Pie Pancakes – banana pancakes w/ chocolate chips, toffee bits, Chantilly whipped crème, and orange scented maple syrup. Very sweet and very delicious! I ate all 4 pancakes 🙂

I also had a side of 2 scrambled eggs and red potatoes w/ sea salt and thyme. The eggs seemed to not be seasoned (easily fixed) and the potatoes were just okay; some were burnt.

Everyone enjoyed the homemade biscuits.

Here is the girl who was on the TV show Donut Showdown.

It was a very down-home place, and our server (the guy in the picture) was super friendly, helpful and funny. I would be happy to go again and try their “Memories of the Farm French Toast.”
