Richmond Station

Richmond Station is one of my favorite restaurants, right up there with Fresh & Lee. We went for dinner to celebrate a birthday.

Chalkboard menu:

SCALLOP TOSTADAS   12
salsa roja, butternut squash, cilantro

These sounded so great but when they arrived, they were tiny and underwhelming.

ROASTED BEET SALAD   12/18
whipped ricotta, arugula, dill, walnuts, horseradish

The best beet salad in the city.

image

BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP   7
pumpkin seeds, spaghetti squash, sage oil

My sister really liked the soup.

image

KIMCHI SWEET POTATO CHIPS   9
tempura, sriracha mayo, scallions

This one sounded so interesting but was a dud.

I had the SEARED DIGBY SCALLOPS w/ squash, brussel sprouts, radish, Meyer lemon – lobster sauce. Loved it.

Husband had the DUO OF BLACK ANGUS BEEF w/ roasted fingerlings, baby turnips, mushrooms, brown butter hollandaise.

image

BBQ CHICKEN   24
confit leg, grilled breast, korean bbq sauce, lima beans, collard greens

My sister wasn’t crazy about this dish and didn’t finish. Also she got sick (vomiting) the next day but we don’t really know for sure what made her sick.

BUTTERNUT SQUASH CAKE w/ spiced marscapone, burnt honey, pumpkin seeds

Complimentary chocolate fudge:

I still love Richmond Station, but this wasn’t the best we’ve had there.
