Mallard Cottage Brunch

Our first time at Mallard Cottage in St. John’s Newfoundland. The chef is Todd Perrin who competed on Top Chef Canada.

Sunday Brunch Menu:

I had the Scallops and polenta two ways.  Sooo delicious!

And definitely leave room for the sweets table!

We liked it so much we made plans to go back again the following weekend for brunch, later in the day, when there is live music and a pub menu. Great atmosphere and friendly servers. I loved all their t-shirts, which they said they got from Living Planet on Water St.

Easter brunch menu:

This time I started with dessert!

I had the Cod au Gratin. I found it very salty and with the consistency of a soup or chowder. We asked if they used salt cod and they said no.

MIL had the Blueberry pancakes w/ pear maple syrup. Oh man I wish I had ordered these, they were delicious!

DH and Aunt had the Braised Lamb Hash

Would definitely like to go back again and again.
