I went to check out Konjiki Ramen on their first Soft Opening Night. There was a long lineup, which took around half an hour to get through. They started turning away people well before their stated closing time of 10pm.
I opted for the Vegetarian Ramen with an egg as an extra topping. It came with a slice of beet, yam, mushrooms, baby spinach, corn, “tofu nugget,” and onions which I had to pick out and discard. Very delicious, although the beet was too firm/underdone.
Vegetarian Ramen: House-made Ramen in creamy potato soy milk broth topped with seasonal local produce, plus an egg as an extra topping.

For dessert I opted for the a slice of the Mont Blanc Chestnut Cake from the Saryo Cafe. They said it was too frozen to eat there, so I had to take it to go. They said I could eat it in about 15 minutes, but when I did, it was still icy inside.
